Dr. Ignacio Guzman

Dr. Ignacio Guzman is the Medical Director and Co-Founder of Gonzales Medical Center. He graduated with a degree in biology and chemistry from the University of San Diego. He studied at the CDC in West Virginia and then at the University of Utah, School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in family medicine at the University of California-San Francisco in Fresno as a co-chief. After years as a family medicine physician, he pursued further education in anti-aging and integrative medicine, specializing in peptide therapy.

 

Dr. Guzman travels around the country and the world sharing his learning, techniques, and discoveries with other clinicians. He has served as a guest lecturer numerous times for the Medical Society of the United States, Hispanic Medical Conference, and the Mexico Annual Symposium. He also teaches aspiring youths and students who want to pursue a career in medicine. As an advocate of his practice, Dr. Guzman takes care of his body and mind. He exercises regularly and participates in several half-marathons annually where he is a top runner.

Luz Garcia

Luz Garcia is the founder, physician assistant, and chief financial officer of Gonzales Medical Center. She started this clinic to provide underrepresented communities in the South County with reliable healthcare. She hopes to keep expanding her services and serve the community with affordability, availability, and accessibility for all her patients. Her work was recognized statewide after being awarded the 2020 Distinguished Alumni Award from the Community College League of California (CCLC). She encourages students interested in the medical field to shadow her along with offering paid internships.

Garcia became a young mother after having her premature baby a month before she graduated with honors from Alisal High School. Being a mother didn’t stop her from pursuing her passion, it served to be a motivation in her life. Her path started at Hartnell College and continued her education at the University of California, Santa Cruz where she earned her degree in biology. She then went to the University of California, Davis Medical School. In 2007 she applied to Stanford University School of Medicine and received her physician assistant certification.
